About this course
This 90-minute course supports mental health practitioners in conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments of emergency workers. It covers the purposes and methods of evidence-based assessment, key tools and timelines used within the CoE network, and strategies for determining treatment suitability. Interactive learning activities and a resource bank of assessment and diagnosis tools provide practitioners with practical support for their clinical decision-making.
Access to this self-paced online course is provided for 6 months from the enrolment date.
Course content
By the end of the Assessment and Diagnosis course, practitioners will be able to:
- Apply the CoE assessment and treatment planning requirements and processes in clinical practice, and
- Implement strategies to enhance their ability to conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed clinical assessments with emergency workers.
