About this course
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals process trauma through structured exposure and emotional processing techniques, making it an essential approach for clinicians supporting trauma-affected clients. This 8-hour online course develops your understanding of the key elements of TF-CBT for treating clients with clinically significant posttraumatic stress symptoms. Through case vignettes, practical clinical activities, and short quizzes, you'll build on your existing CBT knowledge and develop the skills needed to effectively deliver trauma-focused CBT. It also provides a strong foundation for the next course, Implementing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which explores imaginal and in-vivo exposure therapy and trauma-focused cognitive therapy in greater depth.
